Credibility:
The PBS site I consider to be valid source as it is an established and credible source of information. The information provided is rather simple in its outline, but it sill provides a good starting point of information . The most useful part is the visual timeline it provides for the development of the technology. PBS is the Public Broadcasting Service is a non-profit television station that provides primarily educational programming. Polls have placed it as one of the most trusted national institutions. The only flaw is I don't know how current the information is. The graph for web connectivity was from 1995 so it could be more current. In depth explanations and details are lacking.
The second site is a page a .edu site from California State University Dominguez Hills. This page definitely gives a more in depth look into the development of the computer. While some of the information is quite complex for non-computer engineers, the diagrams are useful. The site is funded through the school and appears to be from a previous group project. While the information was very technical and helpful, if it was a group project run by student it might not be the most helpful. Again no date is provided.
